Board Certified Medical and Scientific Illustrator (CMI) Alison Schroeer resides and has her studios in the Historic District of Thompson, CT, part of the Connecticut’s “Quiet Corner”. She resides with partner Chuck and their dogs Sionnach, Pearlie, and Dori, who all joined their family through Petfinder.com). Her hobbies and interests include antique collecting and enjoying the beauty of nature.

Ms. Schroeer received an MS in Medical Illustration from the Medical College of Georgia, an MS in Forest Resources with a focus on Plant Ecology from the University of Georgia, and a BS in Plant Science from Cornell University.  This rigorous education in the sciences and her direct involvement in scientific research, form the foundation of her quest for accuracy in her art.

Ms. Schroeer has worked on a contract basis as a Scientific and Medical Illustrator over twenty five years.  Her clients include scientific journals, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and publishing houses, universities, hospitals, museums, and other institutions of research.
